This is not black pepper jerky. I’ve been making jerky for a long time. This had no pepper on it. Literally, I could not taste it. They had so much soy sauce mixtures it tasted like teriyaki jerky and that’s not original pepper jerky. It might be your original pepper jerky but when you say it is old-fashioned pepper jerky that does not have those ingredients in it sorry.

Recently found Mama’s Jerky, and hands down is the best jerky I’ve eaten! Black Pepper and Spicy Teriyaki are my favorites

My all time favorite to buy for myself or gift to family. I can't go back to store bought beef jerky.
